About Project Host:

Rooted in Greenville, South Carolina, Project Host alleviates hunger and provides job training through several programs that each tackle a different aspect of food insecurity.

Project Host began as a soup kitchen in 1981.  Since then, we have evolved to include a culinary school for unemployed and underemployed people, a feeding program for local after-school sites, and an on-site garden that contributes all its fresh produce to our other programs.
